In this tutorial, we will guide you on how to activate and inactivate live games in Atrivity.

Since we may not always know the exact start and end times in advance, it's essential to set them to "inactive" status and estimate the times accordingly.

We will switch them to "active" just before launch, and re-adjust the timing as needed.

Activating Games

To activate a game, follow these steps:

1. Select the game by clicking on it.

2. Set up the start time when you know precisely when the game should begin.

3. Configure the end time based on the game's duration, typically ranging from 15 to 30 minutes. Calculate this time considering the start time.

Important: In live games, it's common to allow an additional 3 minutes at the end for answering pending challenges. During this time, players cannot challenge each other anymore. Ensure you include this extra time when setting up the end time.

For example, if you want the players to challenge each other for 15 minutes, you should set the total duration to 18 minutes (15 minutes of active gameplay + 3 minutes for pending challenges).

4. Change the status from "Active" to "Inactive" and click "Save."

The game will start automatically when the status is active and reaches the selected start time

Inactivating Games

Games will become inactive automatically when we reach the end time you've specified. However, if you need to manually inactivate a game before its designated end time, follow these steps:

1. Select the game.

2. Adjust the end time to the desired moment when you want the game to become inactive.

3. Change the status to "Inactive" and click "Save."
